Some of the reasons we have held back from mentoring other couples is not knowing how to begin and how to structure our time together. This mentoring guide helps by providing a structured plan and making it doable. The questions are an excellent way to get conversation started and reminds us our purpose isn’t to “be fixers” but to “love, listen, encourage and pray.” This guide helps make a difference in marriages as both couples connect in honest conversation and then take it to our Heavenly Father in prayer.

Jesus tells us to make disciples, teaching them everything He has commanded us. Developing a relationship where mentoring and discipleship is happening, is not only helpful and beautiful, but more importantly, it’s following Jesus in obedience. I can’t think of a more powerful way to encourage and spur one another on in the hope and love of Christ than gathering together as couples, sharing lives and stories, and praying for one another. Our meetings deepened our relationships as couples and in our marriages, but most of all our times together transformed our hearts and lives. Revival is happening in our hearts and marriages and it’s contagious! God is using your book to create a spark that is lighting a fire which will spread to anyone who feels it’s glowing!

Nothing is more important to the health of a marriage than ongoing investment and accountability. Thanks to Nancy and Mark for writing a guide that equips mentors and married couples with the tools to better understand one another and improve their all-important communication and connection!

We found the guide's approach refreshingly different, provoking very healthy discussion. It applies equally to newly marrieds as well as old timers––but certainly taking on important lessons learned early in marriage that produce joyful, long marriages.
