POLICIES

MORE Mentoring is a Christian-based, prayer-focused, non-profit organization. We believe in coming alongside the local Christian church/parachurch to make a great impact in God’s Kingdom.

MORE Mentoring works with many churches and mentors of different denominations and Christian traditions, but all share the common desire to reach others with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to bring glory to God in everything we do, especially through our mentoring.

We believe the Bible is the foundation for these truths. It is God’s Word, uniquely and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is authoritative on all matters on which it speaks.

MORE Mentoring is committed to telling the truth of the saving work of Jesus Christ, of God’s grace to mankind, of the reality of the Trinity and the role of the Church in God’s plan for the world.

Because these beliefs are foundational to the ministry of MORE Mentoring, we reserve the right to have final authority on a church/parachurch implementing the online course materials.

  1. Any individual or church/parachurch not adhering to the MORE Mentoring Statement of Faith or Policies shall not have the right to use the MORE Mentoring name or logo, nor represent MORE Mentoring in any manner.
  2. Unauthorized use of the MORE Mentoring name or logo is prohibited. It is the trademark of the ministry, and its use requires the written permission of MORE Mentoring.
  3. All documents containing the MORE Mentoring logo are copyrighted and may not be altered in any way. By purchasing the online course, you have permission to make unaltered copies of all documents.
  4. We are a prayer ministry and do not offer counsel or advice. Therefore, MORE Mentoring will not be held liable for any advice given by a mentor or member of a mentoring team.

By agreeing with the Policies, Overview and Statement of Faith, a church/parachurch organization is affirming that they, too, believe in and teach the foundational truths of the Christian gospel.

MORE MENTORING STATEMENT OF FAITH

WHAT WE BELIEVE …

ABOUT GOD

We believe God is the One and only God and is the loving Creator of all that exists. He is eternal, perfect and completely good. He knows all things, sees all things and has all power to do anything. As a loving Father, God passionately pursues us because He desires a personal relationship with us. God exists as the Trinity, in three distinct persons, yet one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 4:9-10

ABOUT JESUS

We believe Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to the right hand of God and will return again to earth to reign forever with those who are His. He is fully man and fully God. He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but through Him. Matthew 1:18-25; John 14:6; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 5:8-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Colossians 2:9-14; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-5

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells, empowers, instructs, counsels, convicts, comforts and enables the Christian to live a godly life. He imparts spiritual gifts and produces fruit in the life of a believer. The believer receives the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation. John 14:16-17,26; 16:7-15; Acts 1:8; Romans 5:5; 8:9; 1 Corinthians 6:19; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:16-25; Ephesians 3:16-19; 4:3-4; 5:18

ABOUT THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is completely without error and that God speaks to us through it. The Bible is our standard and authority in all we say and do. We believe that God inspired the authors of the Bible and are therefore completely trustworthy. The Bible is the final authority on all matters to which it speaks. Joshua 1:7-8; Isaiah 55:10-11; Psalms 19:7-11; 119:9-16,105; Matthew 5:17-19; 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:14-17; Hebrews 4:12

ABOUT SALVATION

We believe in salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Everyone is born with a sinful nature, separated from God and in need of salvation. God initiates salvation as He draws us to repentance. Repentance of sin and belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is essential for salvation. John 3:16; 5:24; Acts 10:43; Romans 2:4; 3:21-28; 6:23; 10:9-10; 2 Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 2:1-10; Titus 3:3-8; James 2:14-26; I Peter 2:24; 3:18

ABOUT PRAYER

We believe God hears and answers our prayers and that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. We pray to God, in the name of Jesus with the help of the Holy Spirit. Conversational, agreement prayer keeps us focused and united. Jeremiah 33:3; Matthew 18:19-20; James 5:16
