Happy Thanksgiving

Typically, for our monthly newsletter, I share ministry updates, prayer requests and ideas for how we can partner together, but for this month I would love to just express my thanks to YOU and to GOD.
As we approach this week of Thanksgiving, I’ve been pondering several verses in 1 Thessalonians 5. The first one is verse 18 – “give thanks in all circumstances.” We are to give thanks moment-by-moment, day-by-day, being thankful for the hard circumstances as well as the good. That means we are to live a life of thanksgiving. Why? Does God need it? I think even more so, He knows we need it.
It changes us.
It gives us a new perspective.
It brings peace.
It removes worry.
It refreshes us with hope.
It moves us into freedom.
It is a gift that fills us with joy.
Today I want to take time to express my thanks to YOU. Some of you I know well. Some of you not so well. Each one of you is a gift to me. My life is richer and fuller because you are in it. So today, I want to say thank you:
Thank you for your prayers.
Thank you for your encouragement.
Thank you for your love.
Thank you for your grace.
Thank you for your excitement about this ministry.
Thank you for your support – both financially and relationally.
Thank you for purchasing my new book!
Thanksgiving ultimately brings us into a more intimate relationship with God. We are reminded of how very good He is to us. When I take time to look back and remember, look around me at His provision for right now, and then look ahead to what is to come, I experience fullness of joy. This list could be way longer but I want to take time to say thank you to my GOD:
Thank you for your patience with me.
Thank you for being my friend.
Thank you for the spirit of wisdom and revelation that you love to share with me.
Thank you for answering me when I call to you.
Thank you for multiplying and blessing this ministry. It’s a promise you are fulfilling.
Thank you for being my immeasurably more kind of God.
Thank you for your faithfulness.
Happy Thanksgiving – not just for one day but for a lifetime!
